Tapestry Crochet Moon

It's another magical little tapestry design this week! This lovely little project will occupy the restless crafter on a snowy day or icy evening.

I really would encourage all crocheters to add small projects to their WIPs - we all love our statement projects, but they come with the burden of finishing, or muddling through those tricky stitches. Small projects are just that, small, relaxing, delightful.

So join me with another delightful make and bring some calm to your crafting hands and mind.

This little moon won't take you long and it's beginner friendly - you only need to know how to make a single crochet and carry your yarn.

You'll need:

3.5mm/E-4 Crochet Hook

2 colours of Light Worsted/DK yarn

Tapestry needle for sewing in ends

For this pattern, you'll need to carry the colour not in use and change colour on the last yarn over of the previous stitch. When all stitches of a colour have been worked for that row, drop that colour yarn; there's no need to carry it to the end of the row.

Beginning '1 ch' does not count as a stitch.

Abbreviations:

ch - chain

st - stitch

sc - single crochet

RS - right side

WS - wrong side

MC - white

CC - green

Make as many moons as you like and add them into bigger blankets or make multiples in different colours and join together for a patchwork of moons. 🌛
