Introducing the Tulip Trance Mosaic Crochet Pattern! 🌷✨

Immerse yourself in the enchanting world of mosaic crochet with this stunning new pattern. The Tulip Trance design captures the delicate beauty of tulips in full bloom, creating a mesmerizing tapestry of colour and texture.

Hello, fellow crocheters! 🌸 I’m thrilled to share my passion for crochet with you through my free patterns. If you’ve enjoyed my designs and would like to support my work, please consider making a small donation via my Ko-fi button. Your generosity will help me continue creating and sharing these patterns with our wonderful community. Every little bit helps and is greatly appreciated. Thank you for your support and happy crocheting! 🧶💖

This pattern utilises the intricate technique of overlay mosaic crochet, which creates stunning, multi-dimensional effects that bring each tulip to life.

The use of variegated yarn not only simplifies colour work but also creates a harmonious blend of colours that flow seamlessly, mimicking the natural gradation found in petals. The pattern features intricate tulip motifs that are both visually striking and fun to create. Each tulip is crafted with careful attention to detail, capturing the graceful curves and vibrant petals of real tulips.

For this design I chose to work with DK weight yarn - this yarn is not only fun to use but makes the project really quick to work!

You Will Need:

(DK, 100% Acrylic, 298m/100g)

(Aran, 100% Acrylic, 200m/100g)

Other: Stitch markers for placing. (optional)

Tension: 22 sts x 20 rnds = 4” x 4” (10cm x 10cm) measured over blsc. Size up or down in hook to achieve tension.

Terminology: US

Final Measurements: 20 cm (8”) round

Skill level: This pattern is a great introduction to overlay mosaic crochet in the round for intermediate level hookers or adventurous beginners looking to take on a challenge.

Pattern Notes:

Each mosaic round is worked from the right side; do not turn at the end of each round.

All blsc are worked into the top of the stitch from the previous round as normal.

All fldcs are worked into the front loop of the stitch immediately below it, 2 rows down, ie where a fldc is indicated in round 3, it is worked into the front loop of the stitch directly below it from round 1 and the same stitch of row 3 is skipped.

All slip stitches are worked into back loop only and first stitch of each round is worked in same stitch as previous round’s slip stitch.

There is no need to fasten off the colour not being used at the end of each round, just drop the colour and pick it up again when required.

Chains and modified corner stitches are not included in stitch counts.

A stitch followed by a number indicates the number of stitches to be worked into the next stitch missing only 1 st as normal, unless otherwise stated. A number followed by a stitch indicates the stitch to be worked over the next specified number of stitches.
