I’m so excited to reveal my latest Harvest themed crochet along (CAL) due to be released at the beginning of September 2022…and this blog has all the detail you’ll need if you’d like to join in!
Autumn, the year's last, loveliest smile –William Cullen Bryant
The design is based on 5 Autumnal panels and uses mosaic crochet mixed in with tapestry crochet throughout to create a larger blanket with a central wreath of mosaic leaves.
Here’s how the design was inspired…
Mosaic is such a wonderful technique and I've loved experimenting with it using different shapes to grow each piece round-by-round into beautiful detailed projects. BUT, this one is new for me - it's my first full sized blanket at around 105cm x 130cm and it's made from smaller panels so it's easier to work each one individually and combine into a stunning blanket at the end.
Autumn is an inspiring time for most designers and I wanted to capture the organic nature of the season with extracts from all sorts of vines, leaves and petals. One of the most exciting things about this project is that you can pick the colours you want - if you love the purples and oranges and harvest time then all you need is 5 of your favourites and you can add your own flavour to the finished look, or if you just love the relaxing feeling of following a pattern, I've included all the colours you'll need in the pattern details.

The group is primarily for like-minded crochet enthusiasts to help and support each other through our trickiest stitches but there are often sneak-peeks and discount codes just for group members there too. We're such a friendly crafting group, we love to share our latest crafting projects together - find us here.
